And we back you up to make that happen.  Position Overview We are seeking a Structural Engineer to support our Professional Engineers by performing structural analysis, developing engineering calculations, and applying code-compliant load math (wind, seismic, gravity) to heavy industrial structures. This is an analysis-led role: the engineer reads loading conditions, applies AISC and IBC code correctly, and builds the structural models and calculation packages that engineering decisions rest on — then carries that same understanding into Tekla Structures drawings so the drafting stays accurate to the underlying design. The successful candidate will work directly with experienced U.S. Professional Engineers and play an important role in delivering structural engineering projects from concept through construction documents. Primary Responsibilities: Structural Analysis & Engineering (primary focus): • Perform structural analysis of heavy industrial structures, including load path, wind, and seismic evaluation. • Develop engineering calculations for steel structures, equipment supports, and foundations, applying AISC and IBC code requirements. • Build structural models using RISA-3D (preferred) or comparable structural analysis software (RAM, Robot, SAP2000, ETABS, or STAAD). • Assist with connection and foundation design. • Perform engineering research and assist with code compliance. • Revise engineering documents based on internal reviews and client comments. Drafting & Documentation (supports the engineering, ~40% of workload): • Prepare structural steel and concrete drawings using Tekla Structures and AutoCAD. • Design and draft industrial equipment, support structures, and concrete foundations. • Review engineering drawings for accuracy, completeness, and constructability. Collaboration & Project Support: • Collaborate with internal engineers and client teams to meet project requirements. • Offer structural expertise for equipment like silos, bins, conveyors, mixers, and more. • Provide support on project timelines, deliverables, and coordination. • Communicate clearly with the engineering team to resolve design challenges. • Organize project files and maintain engineering documentation. • Support multiple projects while maintaining quality and schedule commitments. Required Qualifications: • Bachelor's Degree in Civil or Structural Engineering. • Minimum 5 years of structural engineering experience. • Demonstrated experience performing structural analysis and engineering calculations — reading loading conditions and applying code, not just running software templates. • Strong understanding of structural steel design and load path / physics fundamentals. • Proficiency with AutoCAD. • Strong written and verbal English communication skills. • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail. • Ability to work independently in a remote environment. Preferred Qualifications Experience with one or more of the following analysis and drafting tools: • RISA-3D (preferred) • Comparable structural analysis software (RAM, Robot, SAP2000, ETABS, STAAD, or similar) • Idea StatiCa • Tekla Structures • Concrete foundation design • Structural connection design • Heavy industrial facilities, material handling systems, conveyors, silos, hoppers, equipment support structures • Structural fabrication drawings • Progress toward or interest in engineering licensure (PE/SE-track) is a plus — this role supports U.S.-licensed Professional Engineers and does not stamp or certify documents itself. Strongly Preferred Technical Knowledge Experience designing to U.S. engineering standards, including: • AISC Steel Construction Manual • International Building Code (IBC) • ASCE 7 • ACI 318 • OSHA requirements related to industrial structures Ideal Candidate • Thinks like an engineer first — enjoys solving load and code-compliance problems, not just producing drawings. • Has strong engineering judgment and analytical skills. • Understands structural load paths and constructability. • Learns new software quickly. • Produces accurate, organized, high-quality work. • Is dependable and self-motivated. • Communicates effectively in English. • Enjoys collaborating with engineers and designers. • Is looking for a long-term career with opportunities for professional growth. Schedule: 9AM - 5PM EST Compensation & Benefits (to be provided by Offshore Launch): • $1200 - $1800/mo. depending on experience • $500 bonus at 90 days and up to $1,8000 in annual performance bonus • 13th month pay • 16 Days PTO • Comprehensive HMO policy, including dependents.
