Responsibilities Ensure the smooth operation of the company's geo-distributed infrastructure Maintenance and configuration of network equipment, bare metal servers, NAS Maintenance and configuration of virtualization system (VMWare) Administer multiple Linux servers Monitor the status of services and prompt resolution of emerging problems Automate administrative tasks Participate in the development and improvement of infrastructure Interact with developers, database administrators, DevOps engineers, architects Qualifications & Skills 5+ years of experience in a similar position Excellent knowledge of configuring and operating active network equipment: switches, routers, firewalls Strong knowledge of network technologies: VLAN, STP, static routing, PBR, OSPF, BGP, ACL, IPSEC, OpenVPN, DNS, DHCP, etc. Experience with VMWare: vCenter, vSAN, Distributed Switch, HA Working knowledge of HP/Dell servers and storage systems Experience in the administration of Debian/Ubuntu family Linux Experience in the administration of monitoring systems, logging, and collection of metrics Intermediate or higher level of spoken and technical English Excellent interpersonal and communication skills Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities Ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams Nice to Have Knowledge/experience with DevOps practices Experience with IaC, Ansible/Puppet/Terraform configuration management systems Experience with Google Cloud Platform or Amazon Web Services Understanding of information security principles, experience with SOC2/PCI DSS infrastructure Familiarity with Kanban methodology A big plus will be the experience of working on large projects with a significant personal contribution
